DAS (active and passive)

A Distributed Antenna System (DAS) distributes signal from a signal source, usually a base station thought it could be from a repeater, through a series of antenna spread through a building, outdoor area or campus.

Active  DAS  distributes the coverage over fibre to powered antenna, can be multi-mode and broadband, and is commonly used in areas such as airports, large buildings or outdoor campuses or urban areas.  A passive DAS  uses “passive elements”,  feeding antennas over coaxial cables.
